Whole story (Re-post):

Probe on gold trading firms shows schemes are unsustainable, say Bank Negara, A-G, police

KUALA LUMPUR: Investigations into the accounts of the recently-raided gold trading firms reveals that the amount of assets and monies held by these companies do not match the amount collected from their investors.
The schemes offered by the firms were, therefore, unsustainable, saidBank Negara, the Attorney General's Chambers and the police in a joint press release on Wednesday to give an update on the matter.
“Based on surveillance and examination conducted on these companies, it has been discovered that these companies are operating schemes that are believed to be not sustainable to provide the promised high monthly returns, nor would they be able to provide the buy back guarantee of gold.
“Such schemes are not sustainable because the returns promised are not funded through gold trading, but from the monies invested into such schemes.
“Prior to the joint raids, it has been noticed that these companies had delayed returning gold or money to the investors within the promised stipulated time.
“Such signs are early warning indications prior to the collapse of such schemes that would result in significant losses to investors.
“These raids were conducted in the interest of protecting the investors as well as the public at large from falling victim to illegal schemes,” the statement said.
Gold trading firms Pageantry Gold BhdCaesar Gold Sdn Bhd andWorldwide Far East Bhd were jointly raided on Friday by the police, Bank Negara and Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism for suspected offences that include illegal deposit-taking, money-laundering, tax evasion and avoidance and false description.
On Oct 2, the three bodies jointly raided gold trading firm Genneva Malaysia Sdn Bhd and its affiliates in the country for various suspected offences.
Singapore's Commercial Affairs Department also conducted a similar operation against Genneva Pte Ltd in the republic on the same day.

Selut, lumpur & DH top speed

Main selut, lumpur dan down hill @ top speed 50.6 km/h !!!!! aahh heaven.. ha ha ha..

Seriously this is one of the best after heavy rain mountain biking. While other return back after looking at the 1st 5 meter of the DH trail (the DH strecth 5KM, to target location "Sofea Jane water fall"), we - five of us, new buddies (yup, known each other on that day) continue the ride DH after long climbing on tarmac road. With all break engage (my self) the bike keep on going DH until I hit a rock or falls to the side.. ha ha ha wahhhhh... The bike only slow down when it trapped in the mud - almost 3in depth.

How the ride started? Initially I planned for a ride at FRIM with my office colleague -  Nazri, who chicken out after the rain due to sore throat. ha ha ha,.. But as I know my buddy neighbor is going for a ride at Kemesah, I quickly enggage to follow him.

We met at ZOO NEGARA, and park next to the Aquarium. It is a open parking by the road side atndwas charged for RM6.00 by INX Enterprise -don't know whether they're qualified by DBKL or not. Here I met Rizal (my neighbor la) and his 2 others friend. 1 of them is riding STUMPJUMPER 29er.. yes, for the 1st time I can see it in action.

We started @ 8.30 am lead by RIzal, who happen to be the only 1 person familiar / know with this trail. He took us through 5km climbing on Tarmac road !!! ah man, I felt I was cheated. ha ha..

Finally after 3-4 phases of climbing the long stretch tarmac road, @ 171metre height from sea level, we reached the start point of Kemensah trail. It started with a short DH (10-20 meter) before we started to climb & climb & climb & climb again( at this point I wanted to turn back already), before team of ATVs' rider coming form our back. We have to stop and give way to teh ATVs, as the trail is just enough for 1 ATV to go through. we waited until all 3 groups (15 rider) pass us, before we continue climbing again.. and finally after 1 hour of climbing @ 335meter height we reach the top point for DH.. yeahhh...and the ride start...for 10 mins of DH ..

I think we rest here at the water fall for almost 1 hour before we start the long climb again to the main road. Here on Tarmac the DH more controllable, except for the passing by cars and motor.

Stop your LOL-ing and start talking like a boss - Nation | The Star Online

Stop your LOL-ing and start talking like a boss - Nation | The Star Online

PETALING JAYA: In the super fast world of Internet, if “LOL” (laugh out loud) is still your favourite three letter word, the present generation will find that so yesterday.
The lingo among youths has evolved from the “LOL” and “ROFL” (rolling on the floor laughing) of the previous generation, to acronyms and phrases such as “like a boss”, “troll” or “facepalm”.
This whole new set of phrases and abbreviations are called “memes”.
Defined as “the act of doing something as a boss would do” by the Urban Dictionary, the latest generation of Internet users say “Like A Boss” to describe people who do things with an air of superiority and do not care about how others perceive them.
“Trolls” are those who target others with online jeers, while a “facepalm” moment is when you are left speechless by a foolish statement or act by another person.
Those who state the obvious, and post comments or status updates about things which everyone already knows, are now referred to as “Captain Obvious”.
Vijay Ganesan, 28, said he had learnt these Internet memes mostly from a website called 9gag, which features pictures and videos uploaded by users, largely based on memes.
“The posts are very creative and have even influenced the way I speak with friends,” said the civil servant, adding that he used abbreviations like “YOLO” (you only live once) in normal conversations.
Another favourite meme, he said, was the “Why you no....” phrase.
“If we are working late, I ask my friends ‘Why you no go back yet’?” or when my boss questions me, I think to myself, ‘Why you no understand?’,” he quipped.
Another user, Geraldine David, 27, also said memes had made its way into her conversations with friends.
Among the commonly used memes, she said, was “first world problems”, which is used to describe trivial frustrations or complaints.
“Whenever a friend complains that her drink is not hot enough or that she has to wake up early, we just roll our eyes and say ‘first world problems’,” said the recruitment executive, adding that memes were fun to use as well as gave “flavour” to SMSes and conversations.
